The lake, that has a very easy access , was made by stemming the creek Završnica near the barrier behind one of the older powerplants and the first public power plant in Slovenia - it  works no longer  and its water has been channelled to the hydropower plant Moste. The lake is home to brown trouts, rainbow trouts and graylings but the fishing for grayling is forbidden.

The lake can be found at the crossing of the roads to the Valvazorjev dom lodge and to the valley of the Završnica. The water surface of the lake is 3 ha.
