The river Sotla springs in three places in the southern foot of the mountain Macelj. Due to its slow current, it offers very comforable living conditions for carps, grass carps, silver carps, barbels, common breams, asps, gibel carps, pikes, zanders, ides and sturgeons ( which are the special feature of this area).
