The district  consists of accumulating waters from the hydropower plant Fala to the hydropower plant Mariborski otok. The waters are slow and this is the second biggest impoundment on the river Drva.   It is home to common nases,chubs, carps, catfish and pikes.  All types of fishing can be performed here: float fishing, fishing with spoon lures and ground fishing. The fishermen can fish recreationally in accordance with Pravilnik o ribolovnem režimu v ribolovnih vodah ( Policy on fishing regime on the fishing waters ).
