It is a creek typical for the Pohorje mountain, coming from the  clear, unspoilt nature. The  Lobnica creek with its famous waterfall Šumnik springs partly  from the lake Črno jezero in the Pohorje mountain. It is home to brown trouts but some rainbow trouts and graylings can be found in the lower part. Fly fishing is allowed. Fly fishing is allowed with daily ticket from the bridge in the settlement Smolnik to the outflow into the Drava.
